Ashes & Ancestors

THE CONCEPT: FROM SAUSALITO TO THE SILICON

“The desert speaks in silence. The internet speaks in code.”

Ashes & Ancestors is an experimental audio project that explores the collision between human consciousness and digital noise.

To tell this story, I adopted the role of the Producer/Director. I wrote the lyrics, mapped out the chord progressions, and designed the sonic architecture. However, instead of hiring session musicians, I “auditioned” Artificial Intelligence to generate the raw instrumentation.

I applied the production philosophy I absorbed in my earlier life and during my privileged year of living in Sausalito, CA observing the master himself my friend Joel Jaffe, half a block from our apartment at the legendary Studio D. I treated the AI as a “band” in the booth – guiding the vibes, rejecting takes, and fine-tuning the final mix until it matched the vision in my head.

The result is a “Ghost in the Machine” – a human narrative navigating a synthetic landscape. It is a satirical mirror of our times, and a prologue to my next project, which will return to the raw, acoustic silence of the desert.
